was away in shanghai, china and hence, unable to blog for the whole of december.had a wonderful time understanding how an adult chicken pox sufferer felt and thought: damn. why didnt i have it when i was a kid? who the hell passed it to me? didnt i had the vaccination? (needa get a refund) AND WHY THE FACE? so i had chicken pox =_=. it became so apparent to me only on the 5th which was thankfully, the day after my dad's birthday. prior to that, i thought i was having PIMPLES like never before: red and totally HIDEOUS that needed loads of concealer. so i was depressed.. it started in singapore. so darn you who passed me the pox >=( but i forgive you now because the Lord will restore unto me more than just double of what the darn pox has taken away from me. i surely would have smooth and beautiful skin because the Lord would not withold any good thing from me. and it is written that when a child asks for bread, my Abba would never give a stone instead. thank You Lord for Your written promise, finished and completed at the cross! i receive gladly and thank You for Your love ^^ and the wonderful thing was, God allowed it to happen for His glory for sure =) not that He gave me the pox (the d***l did.) but He allowed it to happen. and i understand His love for me =) He didnt allow the pox to happen when i was having exams (or i would have been inconvenienced.. how would i have been able to take my exams peacefully?) He didnt allow the pox to be apparent when i was in singapore (sgpore's really hot and i surely wouldve perspired even more crazily and scratched the pox to no end or WORSE, i cant board the plane!!) He also allowed it to happen after my dad's birthday and before Christmas- both important dates which my family wouldve want to celebrate outdoors in some manner. =) i really felt His love.. spent my dad's birthday drinking red wine in the afternoon and having late dinner at the heng shan restaurant and then drinks at the hotel beside it. both place make us reminisce of the time when we stayed for 2 whole months at the hotel as primary school kids- tennis lessons held at the outdoor court, swimming lessons at the indoor pool, buying pots and pans to cook in the hotel, exploring hotel grounds that normal people would not have been able to enter (mainly for staff.. well, as kids, we had favour from certain staff. not to mention my dad's a frequent visitor plus member there ^^), 'stealing' extra ammenities from the chamber maid's trolley when she wasnt looking- cheap thrill, my dad driving us around in a blue mercedes which he still keeps (back then, a mercs was quite the deal..) so you could pretty much tell of the memories i had in shanghai ^^ wonderful ones spent with my close-knitted family. love them forever. we celebrated christmas by eating lunch at xin wang (non non, not ze same van as the chain restaurants in singapore. but its opened by a hongkonger too). some dishes were nice and others were not. overall not bad but the place is rather small so queueing is pretty much expected. dinner was at the ALL WONDERFUL yakitori restaurant just beside our apartment. totally authentic and such an amazing experience. the weather there might have helped but the food was so palatable, our christmas dinner was the second time there. hahaha. flew there on the 1st and back to singapore on the 30th. how heartwrenching that i had to have chicky pox which depleted 18 days of my stay there. sianss. but quality time was still spent together as the YEE FAMILY!! <3 but i cried on the night before going back. because i felt i didnt spend enough time with daddy ='( i really miss him now and feel that ive not done my part as a daughter enough. but he just hugged and told me how he understood i had to go back because of school. =) patted my head many times too. i really love him. to me, he's truly the best dad in the world. and MINE. MUAHAHHA. LOVE MY ABBA FATHER THE MOST TOO, for giving me such a perfect (his imperfections make him perfect too) earthly father as a role model. in life, i know i will succeed because of my FATHERS. =) One has gone before me and declared my future GOOD, another gives me all the physical HUGS. but both have my best interests at heart. shalom! cheers to the wonderful memories of 2010!! |
