blessed 2011!!!

in this new year, the Lord has showed me His goodness as always,
and made a little incident happen to remind me that He's always looking after me,
and it seemed to me that He's smiling at me on my new year's dinner with bertrand.

hhahahha. to protect a certain namesake, ill use narrative.
after some navigation through the 'trees' on the hill top and abandoning the mission to pass through the greenery because of pride, we found ourselves on the right track after hiking down a little. through this path, we reached the hill top in a glorious manner. there, i was torn between two places to go but i decided to go to vietnam.

the first dish that came was spring rolls which i love because of the herbs but hunny didnt like it so i had 1.5 rolls.

the second dish was sugar cane prawn that came with rice paper wraps, herbs, bean sprout, starfuit and cucumber slices.
i willingly served my hunny a wrap without the herb albeit a little sloppy with the filling threatening to spill out =_="
and he commented that it was delicious!

hahah. then it was time to wrap one for myself.
the prawn, yes.
the vermicelli (or was it noodle? regardless, it was white), yes.
the herb, got it.
while talking to hunny (as i was, all along unless too busy stuffing my mouth), i noticed my herb leaf moving.
'wow, the wind sure is strong here' (when in fact, we were seated indoors- airconditioned)
*looks again* leaf stalk continues to move.
ah. not. its a green wiggly worm saying hi to me! =D
how delightful. or was it a caterpillar?

immediately waved to a waiter nearby and because of shock,
i said: um, sorry but can you see my vegetable (or leaf) moving? there, right there *points*
waiter: oh, sorry sorry *carries away the plate*
me: o_o (still smiling because it was my first time served a worm/caterpillar and a live one to top!)

afterwards, he came back and told us they will replace the entire dish with a new one and that it was on the house =)
the dish came later and i inspected the herbs well, noting that this time,
the herbs were more damp- in other words, they really WASHED IT hard.

lol. so hunny had an extra piece of wrap =x
and i happily ate since its yummy that the little worm didnt turn me off too bad.

i was so full after this dish that when the fried chicken rice in a claypot came,
i thought i couldnt eat no more.
but i did. and quite a bowl.. its still a good thing that we ordered the small portion (recommended for 1 person, of course, if you're not ordering other dishes)
it was delicious!! it had chicken bits, ginger shreds, mushrooms, lemon grass which gave it the OOMPH! the charred bits of course added character to the dish.

it was wonderful.. and i certainly would like to try to make it on my own =x
so i am! soon...
then we decided on ordering this coconut pudding.
we shared one and it wasnt too bad!
green coconut pudding with coconut shreds at the bottom and topped with coconut cream.
wholly coconut <3

haha. the vietnamese coffee was yummy too but of course, a small cup only ='(

when the bill came, i could see my hunny smile after paying it.
because one of the senior staff came over to explain that the dish, as well as desserts, probably my coffee too, was on the house as an apology for the incident earlier on.

its amazing what a little worm could do to your bill o_o (or mine at least)
it cut ours by slightly more than half! we estimated 60 but paid 27 only O_O.
my hunny was also too shocked though pleasantly, that he didnt really bother checking the bill items- he didnt remember if he saw my coffee on the bill.

LOL. with that, while waiting for the change, i thanked ABBA!
and smiled at Him. hahaha, He really made me feel like He's smiling upon me =)
all things work together for good for those who love Him and for those who are called according to His purpose.
if not for Him, i wouldve ate the worm (and have extra protein, according to hunny). but He turned the situation around for my advantage =) all praises and glory to God!!

with that, we cabbed to my house.
hunny was still excited about the bill and said its one of the rare moments he spent less than 50$ when out with me =_=" *guilt* but we really spend most of our money on food. if he pays for the food, ill pay for the cab.

love my boyfriend alot too =))
he didnt call me when he got home which made me worry a little..
later when he finally did, he told me his car (his dad was driving) nearly got into an accident because of a reckless lorry driver)
but i glad all was well and hunny too, acknowledged it was protection from God!
^^ surely He has made all things well for us!
I LOVE YOU ABBA FATHER FROM PRESERVING US FROM ALL DANGERS!
I LOVE YOU BECAUSE YOU FIRST LOVED ME!

shalom to all!
blessed new year!!!!!!!!!!
^^ expect great things to happen and wonderful experiences like never before!
